i really shouldn't have to say any of this but as someone who is in the process of learning a second language, i can tell that simple language makes things a lot clearer when you are not familiar with the language.

everyone on here started out reading simplified english while they were learning, including you native speakers.

i'm sure no one here was reading on a college level in elementary school.

I'm Now A Member Of JwTalk.net.

to my surprise my membership was approved for jwtalk.net, which is to my knowledge the only forum with "real" jws.

after reading through a few threads it appears that these jws believe in the watchtower 100% and i don't see any signs of doubt or borderline apostate comments like some other past pro-jw forums.

are any of you guys members of jwtalk.net and actively posting.

...but i didn't answer it for two reasons.

one, i wasn't fully clothed and two, i'm still debating whether or not i'll make my temporary return.

it would be weird if i accept or reject literature and two months later show up at the hall(which is right across the street) claiming to be baptized.

I'm Starting To Understand Atheist and Evolution

for many years i was sincerely perplexed when someone told me they believed in the evolution theory or were an atheist.

i never understood how someone could ignore all the evidence for intelligent design and overlook all the holes in the evolution theory.

for example, the human biology clock is synced with the rotation of the earth, the earth is the perfect distance away from the sun to sustain life, the earth has an ozone layer to protect us from the sun's radiation, the earth naturally produces fruits and vegetables to be used for food, our bodies produce enzymes to break down the fruits and vegetables so it can nourish us, the earth produces water and oxygen, etc.

Wasted day at Watchtower Headquarters.

i was under the impression that the watchtower headquarters in brooklyn contained all the literature in every language.

well imagine my surprise when after traveling all the way to new york and burning about $50 on cab fare that the only book they had in the langauge i needed was a songbook.

if literature in foreign languages are stored in brooklyn, where else are they kept in the u.s?.

can anyone tell me what books were released at the 2010, 2008, and 2007 conventions.

also i need to know what book is currently being studied at the book study and which book is scheduled next.

I Love Jw.org!!!

next week i was planning on going to bethel to pick up literature in a forgien language so i could start attending meetings and become more fluent in my second language.

well today i discovered on jw.org that the same literature is avalible for download in pdf format with audio read by native speakers!!

this means i won't have to attend any meetings and that i now have a pleothera of print and audio to help me inporve my language skills.

i'll give some background information before i introduce myself.

i faded from the organization three and a half years ago.

i have no family members who are jws and haven't thought about this religion at all over the past three and half years.
